HOW MUCH FUN WAS TO BE WITH ALL OF YOU AT THE MALL OF AMERICA!!

What a great time we had... Many People still ask me how did you come up with the program?, Is this an antiaging workout? Can Kids do it? what about seniors?, What is about the brain and your program?, what is the neuromuscular system?, Did you talk to any neuroscientist about your system?
Ill try to summarize what we talked at the mall. I’m very grateful that I met all of you and I hope I can come back very soon and check on your results after trying The Brain Muscle workout

The program you are about to try is the result of over 6,000 hours of hard work going from client to client in NYC. I had the best clients in NYC!

Whats my background?
I played semiprofessional basketball in Spain. The first thing you learn in basketball is how your body in preseason is totally different than your body in playoffs..(thats why you need to change the program constantly).
Then when I got certified by the National Academy Of Sports of Medicine I learned many concepts related to the neuromuscular system and physiology. However it was not enough. So i started desgining exercises that will incorporate: Balance, coordination, muscular strength and cardiovascular activity. The brain is a powerful "machine" that needs challenging exercises  that require precision. When I started training people individually under these concepts i started seeing surprising results.People will start to experience physical and neuromuscular results.

Then, we started to give few facts about the brain. It weighs approx 3 lbs. We have  approx over 100 bn neurons (neurons make us smile, cry, think, move, talk and everything else).
50% of the total neurons in your brain are located in the cerebellum(area marked). As we mentioned before the cerebellum is  the brain's area responsible for balance and coordination, so wouldn’t make sense to have a physical program based in this powerful part of your brain?

BRAIN ACTIVITY REQUIRING A SIMPLE VOLUNTARY MOVEMENT ( e.g bicep curls)

brain2.jpg

BRAIN ACTIVITY REQUIRING A PRECISE MUSCULAR MOVEMENT (e.g  RAISE YOUR HEELS FIRST AND THEN PERFORM A BICEP CURLS AT THE TIME YOU HOLD THE POSITION)

Then we started to expose the differences between my system and traditional training. In traditional training there is one part of the brain activated and that is the one responsible for voluntary movement.

In my system the movement is very precise requiring proper balance, coordination and muscle timing . Effects on the brain? This movement will activate not only the area  of the brain responsible for voluntary movement but the area responsible for balance and coordination denominated the cerebellum.

In addition there is another part of the brain, the basal ganglia that is involved in motor coordinated movements. And remember that the constant change of the program will trigger the hippocampus, responsible for memory and learning of new movements. That constant learning will promote the creation of new neural pathways

People warming up the Neuromuscular System. Remember the left side of the brain controls the right side of your body. In this exercise after doing opposites we surpise our body doing same arm same leg..

WHAT ABOUT THE PHYSICAL RESULTS? WOULD MY BODY CHANGE IF I FOLLOW THIS PROGRAM?

The Brain Muscle Workout is designed specifically to help you achieve those physical results. When you are training balance and coordination in the same movement you are exercising 35 muscles at once (28 muscles stabilizing or core strength) and 7 muscle movers involved with the movement.

All those muscles require oxygen and blood flow. Therefore, the effect is that the muscle will grow strong and lean since you are shortening and legthening each group in each movement. This routine is based in the principles of circuit training that research has proven to be the most effective way of reducing body fat.

In addition, when using those 35 muscles you will be exercising your cardiovascular system, keeping your heart rate the range meaning that you will not be training either too high or too low.

This picture above is just 1 out of 25 different movements that are included in each level. In the slide you see an explanantion of the brain muscle connection when perfroming this movement

This is my team in Minnesota, sisters Brittney and Kelsey after finishing the exhibition. What a phenomenal job they did. I loved their enthusiasm and social skills!. and also thanks to Elizabeth and Diddi!

REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO TRIED THE BRAIN MUSCLE WORKOUT PROGRAM AT THE MALL OF AMERICA:

Name: Jane

Location:Mn

Comments: I attended the Mall of America presentation by Michael Gonzalez-Wallace and purchased his DVDs. I have only been doing his first workout for 1 week every other day and can definitely tell you I was sweating within 20 minutes, but the most amazing thing to me was that I was so busy trying to keep coordinated and focus on my arms or legs and what they should be doing that at the end I realized I did 40 pushups with one leg raised and several other exercises that definitely challenged my muscle groups I felt great afterwards, ready to take on the day.  I still need to master balancing and core exercises but can't wait to move on to the second session.  Thanks for keeping exercise fun for this grandma from White Bear Lake MN!
